TE KŌHANGA REO O PUAU TE MOANANUI A KIWA
By focusing on progress and achievement across the curriculum, kaimahi and kaiako can ensure mokopuna have the support and learning opportunities they need. Parents and whānau will know what progress their children are making across the whole curriculum – including key capabilities for success in life, learning and work – and how they can help their children to move on in their learning.
Our assessment, aromatawai and reporting systems are focused on strengthening the mokopuna verbal, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual holistics.
SOCIAL PEER INTERACTION
Peer interactions serve a variety of important roles for preschoolers. Throughout the day, as they watch, imitate, model, and interact with each other, preschoolers learn to share, solve problems, and collaborate. They also build friendships that promote positive social and emotional development.
We understand mokopuna move and learn differently from each other. Ensuring a positive, safe and healthy environment we encourage each child to always reach their full potential. With focused learning groups and play areas we work on motor skills that cater to their age groups.
What makes kōhanga reo unique is whakawhanaungatanga, kotahitanga, whānau inclusion and our total immersion of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga. We prepare our children to enter into kura. Transitioning from home to school well growing confidently as a child in this universe.
